This is my public announcement:
my blogging sabbatical is ending today.
my blogging sabbatical is ending today.
- the crowd goes willllllld -
Ladies and gentleman, I am thrilled to announce that my name will change again in approximately 18 days with the addition of two letters... M.S!!!! (Masters of Science) Looking back on the anguish of past 2 years, I am not sure whether it is the fact that (1) I've been overwhelmed with adjustments (getting my B.S., planning a wedding, new marriage, new house, new family, new responsibilities, new, new, NEW everything) or (2) graduate school is actually way more difficult, or (3) I took classes from crazy paper-loving prof's that unnecessarily overloaded me with work. Regardless... I feel like I've earned every fiber of my Masters degree and will most likely embarrass myself cuddling it like a newborn once that precious paper is in my hands.
I (halfway) joke with my fellow grads that I'm going to wobble all the way across stage. Or better yet, whip up a flash mob.
Kind of like this:
UAB'ers... who's with me?! I know it won't happen, but maybe someday my dream of being in a flash mob will come true.
On another subject, I'm really excited about some ideas that have been brewing in my head (foreshadowing, maybe?) I'm going to be blogging much more frequently coming soon, and I've got some interesting things to share. To give you an idea of what's to come, I'm starting a feed of "my daily plate" to showcase pictures of interesting nutrition-related things, in-season fruits/veggies, and some of the things a Dietitian eats on a daily basis. I'm working on getting this set-up so it links straight from my iphone so all of this will be in real time... be on the lookout for it!
Some upcoming blogs: all things coffee, the paleo diet, foods for your mood, 20-30 minute meals, pantry makeovers, muscle fuel, foods for healthy hair/nails/skin, natural sweeteners, the best local produce, and more.
As always, let me know if there are any topics that interest you. Now, on to finish my final paper of graduate school!
- J
